Blogging and Hiking

Well, it took me 1.5 hours to get the blog to work. Maybe...
About the hike...
Doug plans to complete a 'Through Hike' which means from the Mexican border at Campo, California to the edge of Manning Park in British Columbia, Canada. He will not cross borders since a passport weighs too much. The total is 2,663 miles.
Doug mentioned that many people do 'Section Hikes' which are hikes completed over a period of time, not all at once.
Then, he might be a 'Yo-Yo Hiker' which means that he will return on the trail. He would like to do that if time permits.
He even mentioned that hikers walk the PCT and sleep at a B & B along the way.
Cost: $1 per mile. Sounds like a bargain. He plans to walk 20 miles the first day.
Let/s see if my journey works and the blog sticks.

Who's Writing This Anyway???

My name is Doug Murray.
Not really! My name is Debbie Murray. I, aka Mom, am head support staff for this 2013 Pacific Crest Trail adventure.
I am ghost writing this blog for Doug. Since he will be on a long trek on the PCT through California, Oregon, and Washington with minimal internet, I will translate his journals.
I guess I am on a trek also since blogging is new to me...
